Flickrd

Okay in the absence of my website working as yet. (Try www.hayleymoore.co.uk it might work for you, I keep getting 'forbidden 403' which is crap.) I've got a flickr account to showcase some of my photography as well as some nice pictures of my work. As the other day I discovered that I have some photography pieces that are pretty nice. Plus nowadays it doesn't hurt to be on lots of forms of communication.

FWD magazine

Website is still causing havoc. I did have it up at one point for about an hour but sadly not anymore. Here's something else instead. This was a magazine collaboration that I did with Kerry Gissing, Kelly Hillier, Fran Mawson and Laurel Howells. Primarily a sustainable fashion magazine with a large format and a lot of white space to give a contemplative feel.

Edition

As I have yet to get my proper website up and running (it's done and ready - it just needs to be put online and my techno savvy has once failed me! Web skills are not the best) but should be within the week. So expect a link and a post soon.

Getting round to the business at hand, this is the culmination of my final major project which was a company that I created that follows the line of LoveFilm but with books. Imagine a library that would let you borrow any book you wanted and would send it to your house for a small fee. Well that's the concept for the business really. But I created the advertising to launch the company as well as business stationary and a basic website. Here it is then. Have a peek.

Orion books covers

For my D&AD submission I choose the HG Wells covers brief. They had to be non-classical but had to match as a set.  I don't think I'm in with much of a chance but you never know if you don't enter right? I choose four of the five titles to design and I even read two of the four books (Tono-Bungay is probably the best) so I'm not quite Chip Kidd but reading does help to 'see' how the cover should look and I'm a big fan of reading.
